We
believe
a
funeral
service
represents
a unique
opportunity
to
celebrate
the life
of a
loved
one -
the
memories,
the
values
and the
accomplishments.
It is
also an
important
part of
the grieving
process.
That is
why our
caring
and
supportive
staff is
trained
to
provide
the very
best in
personal
service
and
attention
to help
you
through
this
difficult
time.

Why
does
the
Rabbi
periodically
stop
on
the
way
to
the
grave?
These
symbolic
stops
are
an
expression
of
our
unwillingness
to
leave
the
deceased.
Some
Rabbis
will
stop
3
times
and
others
will
stop
7
times.
During
the
ninth-century,
the
procession
stopped
seven
times
to
shake
off
evil
spirits
clinging
to
those
leaving
a
funeral.
With
each
stop,
a
spirit
was
shed.
Other
scholars
believe
the
custom
of
halting
seven
times
stems
from
the
seven
references
to
the
vanity
of
life
mentioned
in
the
Book
of
Ecclesiastes.
